EB Motorsport’s Mark Bates currently holds fifth position in the FIA World Sportscar Masters Championship after three rounds.
Our first DNF ever, with transmission issues in Barcelona brought us nil points on this season’s opening event. Brands Hatch was a win for the team, with a similar win in Dijon last month.
A win is good for nine points, so four class winners in the first three events are all on a maximum 27 points each. They are Steve Farthing, Simon Hadfield, Chris Jolly and Leo Voyazides. Mark sits on 18 points: in joint fifth place with Tim Cousins.
Five rounds remain in the 2013 Championship, so we’re not even half way yet. Silverstone Classic is coming up next, from the 26-28 of July. We’ll be in the paddock all weekend, which makes this a good opportunity for Porsche friends to come and say hello in our pit box and see the range of EB Motorsport Porsche 911 parts fitted to our race cars.
