Team EB Motorsport is back in Germany this weekend, racing at the Oldtimer GP. We’re competing in FIA Masters Historics with two cars: our 1965 2-litre SWB Porsche 911 and the Guards Red 1974 911 3.0 RS.
The legendary Eifel circuit is a favourite of ours and we have done well here in the past. Many of you will remember the crazy year of racing through floods at the ’Ring in the Light Yellow RSR, with wiper failure and near-misses with other cars that were running at three figure speeds in impenetrable mist with no rain lights illuminated!
We’re not looking to repeat any such brown trouser moments this weekend, but hopefully we can keep some of the momentum gained at Silverstone going. That was a great weekend for us: first 911 to cross the line in Masters Sportscars and also on top in Gentleman Drivers with the 65.
Apparently there are 910s and 917s on track with us this weekend, so sharing the Nürburgring GP circuit with those guys will be a lot of fun. Hope to share some good news as the weekend unfolds.
