Retirement for RSR in CER debut

An early bath was waiting for EB Motorsport’s 1974 Porsche 911 RSR on its debut event in Classic Endurance Racing at Dijon this weekend.

“We had a great start to the race, passing the leading RSR and also overtaking one of the GT40s, when one of the CV joints let go,” says Mark. “It was not that far into its service life so just a faulty component or else these parts just can’t cope with the stress of the wider rear tyres. We will check it when we get home and increase the frequency of changes between race events.

“No one likes to end a race with retirement, but overall it’s been an excellent weekend for the RSR on its CER debut. The series is very well run and we’ve enjoyed being on track with so many excellent cars and drivers. We look forward to running the RSR in this group again later this year.”
